Description

A stunning, unique 2022 Gibson SG Standard '61 in the highly sought-after, limited-run Tobacco Sunburst Perimeter finish. Crafted in the USA, this model was an exclusive release that beautifully captures the timeless, lightweight design (7.2 lbs.) and razor-sharp rock 'n' roll attitude of the original 1961 debut era.

This guitar comes equipped with its factory-original Gibson '61 Burstbucker Rhythm and Lead pickups, hand-wired with Orange Drop capacitors to deliver that legendary, articulate PAF bite, midrange punch, and woody warmth. The solid mahogany body features beautiful deeply sculpted vintage scarfing, a period-correct 5-ply teardrop pickguard, and a lightning-fast SlimTaper mahogany neck with a bound rosewood fingerboard.

Hardware Customizations & Project Note:

This SG has been upgraded with a gold-accented Bigsby vibrato tailpiece which functions smoothly and holds tuning wonderfully. Additionally, a B-Blender mechanism has been mounted.

⚠️ Please Note: The B-Blender assembly is not currently hooked up or fully functional. It may require additional screws, small components, and minor setup work to operate as intended. It is being sold as-is as a minor hardware project for the next owner.

Condition & Playability

• Cosmetics: The top and sides of the high-gloss nitrocellulose lacquer finish are exceptionally clean and vibrant. The back of the mahogany body shows some honest surface scuffs and light buckle marks from standard handling, which are entirely cosmetic and do not affect structural integrity.

• Neck & Frets: The neck is arrow-straight, the truss rod adjusts perfectly, and the 22 medium jumbo frets show negligible wear with virtually 100% of their playing life left.

• Electronics: 100% fully functional factory wiring harness under the hood. The original '61 Burstbuckers sound incredible, and all pots sweep completely clean without noise.
