Description
Highly collectible, first-year 1982 Fender American Vintage '52 Telecaster Reissue (AVRI) in 100% all-original condition.
Crafted at the legendary Fullerton, California factory immediately following the CBS era, these early 1982 reissues represent a historic turning point where Fender went back to original 1950s tooling, blueprints, and build standards. Many collectors consider the '82 Fullerton reissues to be some of the finest instruments Fender ever produced.
This guitar has the unmistakable mojo, snap, and resonance of a true 1950s Blackguard. Built with a lightweight ash body and a one-piece maple neck, it serves up that classic, bitey, transparent Telecaster twang that players chase.
Condition, Wear & Playability
-
Cosmetics: This guitar is in beautiful, honestly-played vintage condition. Please note that there is finish wear/damage along the side of the lower edge of the body (clearly documented in the photos). This cannot be seen at all from the front, allowing the guitar to retain its gorgeous, clean "front-facing" aesthetic on a stand or while being played. The rest of the body displays beautiful natural lacquer aging and checking.
-
Neck & Frets: The neck is arrow-straight and features a comfortable, period-correct slim '52 profile. The original frets show some honest vintage wear but play cleanly up and down the neck with great intonation.
-
Electronics: 100% factory original, untouched, and fully operational. The original '52 single-coils sound incredible.
- Weight: 8.6 lbs.
