1971 Fender Telecaster – 6.9 lbs! – Pro Refin & Recent Refret – Stabilized Pickups
This is the ultimate vintage "Player’s Tele." Weighing in at an incredible 6.9 pounds, this 1971 Fender Telecaster is resonant, punchy, and a dream to play for long sets. While the body has been professionally refinished in a classic Blonde, the soul of this instrument is 100% vintage.
The "Pro" Treatment: As a specialized dealer, I’ve personally gone through this guitar to ensure it’s stage-ready:
- Fresh Refret: This guitar was recently refretted. It plays effortlessly with plenty of life on the frets—no divots, no buzzing, just smooth bends.
- Stabilized Pickups: The original pickups had become microphonic (common for this era). I have professionally wax-potted them to eliminate squeal and feedback while carefully preserving the original windings and vintage tone. They are now quiet, reliable, and sound fantastic.
Specs & Hardware:
- Weight: 6.9 lbs (exceptionally light for the era).
- Neck: Original finish and decal; comfortable "C" profile.
- Hardware: Period-correct "F" tuners and 3-saddle bridge.
- Body: Older professional refinish with light, natural checking and authentic "mojo."
- Case: Includes original early-70s Fender black hardshell case with orange plush interior.
